Briarwood began in the 1960s as a Planned Community. The original primary developer was Don Hodney, although many other builders participated in the later phases. It was completed in the late 1990s and consists of 406 single family homes and 1 vacant lot owned by the homeowner next door.
It remains a Planned Community governed by the Briarwood Home Owners Association (BHOA). The Home Owners Association (HOA) is a non-profit, self-governing, volunteer Association. You become a member when you purchase a home in Briarwood.
Community Properties
Briarwood Pond
Located at Valley Brook and Crooked Creek. The pond is often a location for neighborhood events.
Soccer Field
As part of our park area, the soccer field is available for residents and friends to use.
Nature Park
Located between Binghampton and Hemingway, a quiet wooded area to enjoy. New paths with stump play elements installed 2021-22.
Community Garden
For a small fee, residents may have a plot to plant a garden. Located near the playground.
