When to use this form:
You must file a written application and obtain written permission from the Association to make exterior structural changes to or on your property. Such changes include, but are not limited to, exterior paint color changes, roof replacement, siding, fences, decks, patios, additions, sheds, new driveways or sidewalks, swimming pools, hot tubs, and solar panels. No permission is required for simple repairs of existing structures; however, you do need to file this form if you plan to replace, enlarge, or change the appearance of an existing structure.
Why is permission required?
The restrictive covenants attached to the deed of your home require you to obtain approval for all exterior changes to your property. You became legally bound by these deed restrictions upon the purchase of your home. These restrictive covenants serve to protect property values, preserve neighborhood aesthetics, and promote harmony between neighbors.
You are responsible for confirming the receipt of your application form and determining that your project plan complies with all applicable state and local regulations, including building construction codes. The Association is required to issue written approval or disapproval within 30 days of receiving a fully completed application.
