I  have served on the Board in the past for a total of 6 years.  I chaired the maintenance committee initially until I was elected as president for my last few years.  I continue to have as personal friends many of the service organizations that support Briarwood.

What issues do you see as priorities for the Board to address during the next three years?

Increasing the number of volunteers, and participation from within Briarwood.  "Many hands make the work light."  I also think the effort to meet and greet new neighbors is critical.  Nothing compares with face-to-face communication.

What changes that are in the control of the Board would you like to introduce?

For a long while, some of us were interested in divesting Briarwood from the soccer field, given the enormous liability we have in maintaining it, and how little BHOA members actually use it.
Ideas such as having the township put a waterpark in a large segment of it, is one idea.  The idea of divesting it has not had a whole lot of discussion or consideration,  Other than that, the current board has done so much over the last 12 months.  Please continue!

I have lived in Briarwood for 10 years and served on the BHOA Board for the last three. I am proud of the work we accomplished, especially this last year. If elected for another term, I want to continue our focus on events, communication, and improvements to common areas/facilities.

What issues do you see as priorities for the Board to address during the next three years?

The Board worked incredibly hard this year to improve the number and quality of events. Residents responded to these with support and enthusiasm. I want to encourage residents to participate in events even more actively by volunteering to plan, set-up, and clean-up. Having virtual meetings boosted attendance at monthly meetings and I hope that continues in the coming years.

What changes that are in the control of the Board would you like to introduce?

Capital improvements and upgrades to the Recreation Park and Pond areas. Update/automate processes to collect dues, ballots, and welcome new residents. Continue focusing on planning events that encourage participation and build community.
