Community Garden

Applications for Summer 2024 is due February 15

The Briarwood Community Garden is located in the Briarwood Recreation Park on Fox Hollow Drive. It is an organic/pesticide free garden and full or half plots are available. If you’d like to use a community garden plot complete the application below.

After receiving your application, you’ll receive notification of your plot number. Plots are distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Plots will be available for planting in May after plowing.

The ground will be rough plowed. Further cultivation for each plot is the community gardener’s responsibility. Fertilizers are allowed, but NO PESTICIDES. Each gardener is responsible for weeding their plot throughout the season.

We’re working on installing a permanent water line to the garden this summer. Garden plot fees have been increased for this and for the metered water charges. This year we’ll fence around the whole garden, and gardeners can also fence their individual plots within that if they’d like to.

The individual registering must be the gardener who will be using the plot. Please also sign up below for one volunteer activity.

Please contact with questions, or send your registration form to, Jean Zwier jean.zwier@briarwoodhoa.org or Michelle Szidik mszidik@icloud.com. Or by sending registration by mail to Jean Zwier, 3840 Binghampton Dr., Okemos
